Our client is seeking a motivated and
results-driven
individual to join their team in developing and marketing their technologically advanced animal feed products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling high-quality plant protein-based products to customers within the animal feed industry. This position is based in Stellenbosch. QUALIFICATIONS &
EXPERIENCE:
BSc / MSc Agric Animal Sciences (Nutrition) Degree 5 – 10 years of sales experience in the animal feed industry Candidate must be registered/or in the process of being registered as an animal scientist (e.g., eligible for SACNASP registration). Membership of SASAS (South African Society of Animal Science)
Product Knowledge
:
General animal nutrition. Strong ruminant nutrition knowledge will be an advantage Administrative
Skills:
Complete necessary administrative tasks KEY SKILLS:
Sales &
Promotion
:
Actively promote and sell soya-based feed products to the South African animal feed market, utilising effective selling strategies and
strong communication skills
Client Relationship
Management:
Understand client needs, identify new sales opportunities, and build strong relationships with existing clients nationwide Working knowledge of least cost feed formulation Market Research:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and provide premium solutions and services to clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share in the animal feed industry Conduct regular client visits and presentations to showcase product benefits and address customer queries Provide technical support and nutritional advice to clients, leveraging expertise in animal nutrition Monitor and report on
