Job Purpose
To provide specialist tax support to the Sun International Group in respect of tax compliance, tax reporting and tax risk management and advisory and ensure compliance with tax laws and legislation. Prepare tax returns and maintain the company’s tax database. Review tax schedules for reporting purposes. Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues. Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits.
Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws. Accurately prepare tax reports for reporting requirements. Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications. Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Education
B.com Accounting
Post graduate qualification in tax essential (e.g. H Dip Tax, Hons in Tax or M.com Tax)
Tax experience in audit firm advantageous
Experience
Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience in corporate tax
