Tax Administrator Cape Town (Northern Suburbs)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Administrator to join our client’s team based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in Tax Administration and have a high attention to detail and deadline driven.
Matric certificate with Mathematics and Accounting
Minimum of5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel)
Relevant experience in tax administration will be advantageous
Proactive approach with excellent planning and organizational skills
High attention to detail and quality-focused
Key Responsibilities:
Updating registered details on SARS e-filing
Updating banking details (RAV
01) and submitting required documentation online
Managing updates to public officer details and processing name changes (RAV
01)
Handling year-end changes in collaboration with the Secretarial Department
Responding to client emails, calls, and queries regarding tax matters
Issuing Provisional Tax letters and following up on payments due
Issuing Assessment letters and tracking payments/refunds
Scanning and uploading Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and Tax Computations via SARS e-filing/online query system
Submitting tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies (IT12, IT12TR
, IT14)
Managing estate tax matters, including post-death registrations and IT12 submissions
Handling Foreign Tax Clearance applications
Processing Customs Registrations
Applying for Tax Exemptions
Booking SARS appointments on behalf of clients, preparing necessary documentation, and resolving SARS-related queries
Registering Trusts for Income Tax online
Handling deregistrations for Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE with SARS
Managing e-filing registrations for new clients and transferring profiles
