Talent Management
● Lead the design and execution of talent management practices across the employee lifecycle.
● Develop and maintain user-friendly talent management toolkits, playbooks and guides to enable consistent execution of talent processes by People teams and leaders.
● Continuously evolve frameworks and tools to assess and manage talent, ensuring alignment with People priorities and business strategy.
● Collaborate with Talent Partners and leaders to embed consistent talent practices across the business.
● Compile and deliver reports to indicate talent management trends, insights and recommendations.
Talent Development
● Design and implement scalable talent development and learning solutions aligned with organisational goals and future leadership skills, with a particular focus on HiPo’s.
Partner with the People Development team to deliver blended development experiences, including workshops, coaching, mentoring and digital learning.
● Utilise psychometric assessments to identify and inform targeted talent development needs and opportunities.
● Collaborate with Talent Partners and People teams to create meaningful and high-impact future development plans for talent.
● Evaluate programme effectiveness using data-driven insights and showcase learning impact and ROI.
HiPo Development
● Develop and operationalise programmes targeting HiPo talent, aligned to leadership frameworks and career pathways.
● Design differentiated experiences to accelerate growth of HiPo talent, including stretch assignments, exposure opportunities, and executive sponsorship.
● Partner with People teams and leaders to identify internal mobility opportunities that support accelerated growth and broadened exposure for HiPo talent.
● Track progression of HiPo talent and regularly report on development outcomes to senior leadership.
● Leverage talent platforms and data analytics to assess potential, track progression, and generate insights that inform investment decisions and targeted development actions.
● Establish robust success metrics for HiPo programs and regularly report on program effectiveness, mobility outcomes, and pipeline strength to senior leadership
Succession Management and Planning
● Drive the succession planning process across critical roles and leadership tiers, ensuring a strong bench of future talent and promotion-ready leaders.
● Facilitate succession discussions with People teams and leaders, identifying risks and opportunities across the pipeline.
● Create and manage tools to track succession health, mobility and development actions for key successors.
● Develop and maintain practical succession planning toolkits and guides to support consistent execution of the process across the business.
● Lead the annual succession sign-off process with People teams and leaders, ensuring alignment,
accountability, and documented development actions.
● Use data and insights to inform succession decisions, identify gaps, and recommend targeted interventions.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree/NQF Level 7 in Industrial/Organisational Psychology. Professional registration as Industrial/Organisational Psychologist
Minimum Experience: 6-8 years’ global talent management and talent development experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Sound knowledge of talent management principles
Understanding and application of psychometric assessments
Succession management and planning
Design of talent development programmes
Development of HiPo programmes
Project management skills
Ability to work with stakeholders across levels
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders
