We are hiring a Sustainable Agriculture Auditor to start on Monday, 05/05/2025, based in Somerset West. You will report directly to the Evaluation Manager. The position will mainly involve the organic and social audits [according to standards such as: EU, NOP, Fair-for-Life, Rainforest Alliance, COSMOS (Cosmetic Organic Standard), Inputs (fertilisers and pest control products suitable for use in organic agriculture)] of clients in South Africa but can also include other crops and travel to remote areas of South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, and Namibia.
Your tasks
You will be responsible to carry out the following duties:
Auditing on site (farm, factory, export office)
Completing audit reports within deadline
Communication with clients regarding compliance assessment
Technical assistance to clients in organic industry about the relevant regulations
Profile
Education: BSc, BScAgri or similar tertiary qualification.
Experience: Experience in the agriculture and/or certification sector (in particular organic/sustainable/fair trade) would be beneficial
Technical skills: High level of computer literacy – confident MS Office user
Languages: English and Afrikaans – both essential – spoken and written

Remuneration: Market related salary and dependent on experience and qualifications
Type of contract: Permanent (6-month probation)
But also…:You will be entitled to medical and life insurance benefit contributions. All travel costs are covered by the company. Additional to your salary, a non-guaranteed performance related bonus would be paid annually. Partial remote working is part of the current company policies.
