Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sushi Chef. The ideal candidate would have experience in Japanese cuisine and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by preparing high-quality sushi dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Utilize knife skills to slice fish and vegetables accurately, maintaining consistency in portion sizes.
- Must have current California’s food handlers card. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations, including proper storage, preparation, and sanitation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment and utensils.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Culinary degree Not necessary as we honor experience and the ability to learn our menu.
