About Us
We are a growing auto parts business in Grassy Park, Cape Town, dedicated to delivering excellent fast service and high-quality products to our customers. We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Stores Person / Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will mainly assist in-store but must also be willing and able to make deliveries when necessary.
Job Description
This is a hybrid role with the primary focus on in-store operations, including receiving, quality control, organizing, and issuing and dispatching of stock. Occasional deliveries may be required during staff shortages or peak periods. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting the sales team, and ensuring timely and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Duties:
Receive, unpack, and organize incoming stock.
Process and pick parts for customer orders using IQ Retail system.
Maintain clean and organized store and storeroom areas.
Conduct stock takes and support stock control activities.
Coordinate with the sales team in dispatching stock to customers (Over the counter or deliveries).
Delivery Duties (As Needed):
Deliver parts to customers within Grassy Park and greater Cape Town timeously.
Ensure safe handling and accurate delivery of goods.
Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues timeously.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a retail stores/stock control environment.
Experience with auto parts or mechanical components (highly advantageous).
Prior use of IQ Retail system (highly advantageous).
Licenses & Certifications
Valid South African Driver’s License (Code B).
Clean driving record.
Personal Traits
Honest, reliable, and punctual.
Strong sense of initiative and accountability.
Good communication skills in English (Afrikaans/Xhosa an advantage).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to lift moderately heavy items.
Additional Information
You will be based at our Grassy Park store.
You must be available to work Monday to Friday 08 :00 – 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 – 13:00. Closed Sundays and Public Holidays
