Role Purpose,
Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in the Engineering department with the main responsibility will be stock controlling, monitor and all activities within the associated engineering stores areas. Successful candidates need to have at least 3 -5 years’ experience within a store’s environment and FMCG environment and must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of stock and & stores processes. Be fluent in English and be computer literate with sound knowledge in excel.

Grade 12 or equivalent
NQF5 Supply Chain/Logistics or relevant qualification
At least 3 -5 years’ experience in store environment (FMCG environment)
Knowledge of stock control & stores processes
Working knowledge of BPCS & WM9 would be advantageous
Computer Literacy.
Computer literate – knowledge of MS Office (Excel & Word)
Computer literate – spread sheets and presentation
Must be physically strong and fit
Must be able to do basic calculations
Strong administration skills
Must not be afraid of heights
Physical strength and good health
Ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work under pressure.
Able to carry out tasks accurately within reasonable time constraints.
Be able to think and operate independently and make decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities
,
Daily tasks of receiving and issuing maintenance spares, sundries and consumables as required.
Routine and random stock checks and counts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Generating and receiving of purchase requests on – stock items when low levels are reached.
Issues and receive returns of tools and maintenance equipment’s.
Housekeeping of store.
Stock control in the lubrication, motor, pipe and general spares stores.
Assist the Maintenance Planner with shutdown and project spares.
Communication between customer and supplier.
Housekeeping of store.
Ad hoc tasks.
Stock controlling of all engineering storage facilities.
Communication with internal and external clients.
Ensure correct invoicing to clients and engineering with the relevant documentation.
Ensure FIFO takes place within engineering with correct specifications.
Ensure stock quantities on BPCS and WM9 are verified weekly and anomalies reported to the Maintenance Manager.
Update availability of engineering stocks weekly to ensure correct results are released.
Attend weekly stores meetings
Register new KA stock items at head office.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers
Stand in for store man when absent
Follow up on outstanding stock orders
Assist store man where necessary
