About The Role
Job Summary
The Warehouse/ Logistics Worker is responsible for performing routine warehouse tasks including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, including delivery. This role ensures accurate handling of inventory and compliance with standard procedures.
Purpose of the job
The incumbent is responsible for stores functionality: receipt of incoming goods, storage and preservation, identification of all material stored, material handling, packaging, issue and dispatch and maintenance of stock records.

Responsibility for the Health, Safety and Environment of employees who either work in your area, or who visit the operational areas you are responsible for, either internal or external visitors. Including full legal & company compliance. Develop a positive safety culture through the Sulzer Behavioural Safety Program.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance to all logistics and ware-house procedures. Plus, all other ad hoc responsibilities as may be allocated by the Ware-house supervisor. Responsible for all store functions of FE and Wastewater stock, material handling and dispatch. Ensure professional liaison between external & internal customers and suppliers Inspection of all FE goods upon receipt within required timeline (verification of qty's and breakage) Packing, stacking, and crating of items in various locations also checking that delivery notes match with goods. Handling of deliveries from goods inwards ensuring that all items are booked in, and signed PODs are returned within 24 hours. Assist with the location of castings, materials and factored items within the factory and yard ensuring all locations are recorded for accurate SAP inputs. Assist with pump kitting for any ad hoc PPR projects, ensuring kit boxes are available at the correct time in line with production schedules and to the correct format (where applicable). Cycle counting, stock taking and bin audits on both PPR and WIBU. Maintaining housekeeping in the stores. Picking of orders for production and assembly works orders when available. Ensure that transporters are contacted timeously for collection all goods that are ready for dispatch. Its compulsory to regularly attend stores production and safety meetings. Other destinations prescribed by the Business operational requirement

Qualifications/Experience And Knowledge Required
- Working experience as a store-man.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- SAP Experience
- Forklift and Crane license is advantageous
- Material handling knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Basic stores and stock control certificate (advantageous)
- Basic computer skills
- ERP knowledge – PP & WM modules (advantageous)
- Filling and data capturing
- Report compilation
- Stacking and storage principals
- Basic ware-house competencies
