Main Purpose
To support the effective execution of planning and allocation strategies through accurate stock distribution, allocation execution, reporting, and system maintenance. The role is responsible for optimising stock flow and supporting departmental KPI delivery by providing analytical, administrative, and operational support to the Planning team, while ensuring timely and informed business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Distribution Support
• Support the execution of channel and cross plans in line with centralised grading parameters and critical path timelines.
• Ensure new stores are stocked according to agreed plans and location briefs.
• Maintain stock parameter tools and systems to optimise stock flow and sales performance.
• Assist with post-seasonal analysis on size, store, and product performance to identify trends and opportunities.
Allocations & Stock Optimisation
• Execute and prioritise allocations based on trading performance, launches, and intake forecasts.
• Monitor store performance against plan and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Capture and maintain sizing ratios and profiles within relevant systems and tools.
• Develop size profiles and ratios to improve future allocations and ordering accuracy.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyse trading and store performance data to provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Conduct grade analysis and share recommendations with Planning and Central Planning teams.
• Identify in-season exceptions such as availability or sizing issues and recommend solutions.
• Support stores with stock-related queries and allocation investigations.
Key Competencies
• A National Diploma or Degree in Business/Retail Management or Accounting/Finance would be beneficial.
• A minimum of 2-3 years sound experience in store planning within a clothing retail environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning/allocation systems would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within retail planning, allocations, merchandising, or administration is beneficial.
