Store Keeper – Hospitality Jobs in George, South Africa at Oubaai Hotel Golf & Spa

To run day-to-day operation of the storerooms’ operations including issuing and ordering the inventory items of the store. Maintain the par stock to ensure the supply of the inventory items to the receiver departments in a professional and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Accomplish the storeroom’s day-to-day operation of various goods and commodities for the hotel.

Provide the import supporting role of maintaining products both inventory and non-inventory which are being utilized by the various departments of the hotel.

Actively and continuously maintain accurate record keeping for inventory and non-inventory items while maintaining continuity of supply through compliance with an established par stock.

Assist in the maintenance and organization of the storerooms, freezer, and chillers.

Ensure that inventory and non-inventory items are minimized by an effective par stock.

Keep inventories as low as possible and properly supply the operation’s needs and maximize inventory turnover and space utilization.

Ensure that inventory items are stored properly and issued in FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage.

Utilize all measures of proper inventory control.

Advise of unusual or remarkable consumption of inventory and non-inventory items.

Enforce all operations and control procedures to ensure that the movement of goods into and within the hotel is properly accounted for as instructed by the Materials Manager.

Adhere to internal control policy and procedure throughout the department, regarding receiving, inventory control, issuing, and emergency issuing.

Ensure quality control, consistency, and storeroom maintenance is accomplished.

Assist and coordinate all product requisitions and specifications from the various heads of department.

Maintain inventory items, par stock, items to be included as inventory items reorder points, item listing, unit of measure, purchase orders.

Coordinate food and beverage in conjunction with purchasing, receiving, and issuing.

Ensure that every department in the hotel receives goods and services as required and to the standard they have specified.

Place all orders for inventory items based upon established and audited par stocks and inventory levels.

Ensure full compliance with the Departmental Operational Manual for the various areas of Materials Management.

Operate and use the computer in accordance with established procedures.

Assist in the selection of reliable regular supplies for all inventory items.
