Job Description,

The primary purpose of the Stock Controller role is to ensure the efficient and accurate management of inventory within the AXXIS eboard and Blasting equipment manufacturing. This position is responsible for overseeing all inventory movement transactions, maintaining the integrity of stock levels by monitoring inventory accuracy (comparing physical stock to recorded/system data), and proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies. The Stock Controller plays a critical role in investigating variances, analysing their root causes, and providing actionable recommendations to adjust the system, accordingly, including advising on posting gains (e.g., surplus stock) and losses (e.g., shortages or damages) to maintain alignment between physical and recorded inventory. By ensuring precise stock records, the role supports operational efficiency, minimizes financial discrepancies, and contributes to seamless production and supply chain processes.

, Qualifications,

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Certificate in Inventory management or warehousing (Advantage)

, Experience,

  • 3 years demonstrated experience as a Stock Controller
  • Proven experience in an Administration role

, Duties,

  • Inventory Management: Track and manage stock levels of electronic components critical to the manufacturing of blasting equipment. Ensure all components are in the correct quantity, quality, and specifications for production needs.
  • Stock Audits & Cycle Counts: Perform regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all stock records are up to date.
  • Component Receiving & Inspection: Receive and inspect electronic components for quality and compliance with order specifications. Report any damaged or incorrect shipments to suppliers and internal teams.
  • Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels to predict stock requirements and place orders for new supplies. Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays.
  • Warehouse Organization: Ensure electronic components are properly stored and organized in the warehouse, with attention to safety and accessibility.
  • Collaboration with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing. Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to resolve any issues.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all handling, storage, and transportation of electronic components adhere to safety standards and best practices, particularly with respect to sensitive electronic equipment.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on stock levels, component availability, and inventory trends. Identify opportunities for stock optimization and cost savings.
