About the Company

Our company is seeking to appoint a Warehouse Stock Controller to join our warehouse team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing stock control activities, supporting procurement processes, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to meet business and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing stock control activities, supporting procurement processes, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to meet business and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Stock Control & Inventory Management

  • Manage and control all warehouse stock to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock takes
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances, shortages, and damages
  • Control stock transfers between locations and ensure correct system updates

Receiving & Dispatch

  • Ensure full knowledge and compliance with all shipping and receiving procedures
  • Verify received stock against documentation and report discrepancies
  • Ensure all new stock is correctly labelled and placed in designated locations
  • Ensure correct documentation and distribution of all receiving and dispatch paperwork

Systems & Documentation

  • Input and process all authorised merchandise into the inventory system
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation for audit and control purposes

Loss Prevention & Compliance

  • Maintain loss prevention standards through adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Actively support inventory control measures to minimise stock loss and shrinkage
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of stock to prevent damage

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric),
  • Diploma or degree in Warehousing, Logistics, or a related field (advantageous)

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse stock control role
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles
  • Experience with stock control systems and warehouse processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the tiles or glass industry
  • Knowledge of handling fragile or high-value stock
