Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties – both for commercial and home garden planting. The following position has become available for a General Worker, based in Kempton Park. The purpose of this role is to assist with all general duties within the Warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure to scrub all departments as per scrubbing schedule daily.
Scrubber to be cleaned and charged after every shift.
Ensure all seed / items that must be discarded is done according to correct procedure on a continuous basis / daily.
Ensure that the incinerator is operated in the correct and safe manner.
All seed / items that are discarded to be documented.
Ensure to assist with the loading and offloading of all vehicles.
Assists fellow workers with execution of tasks whenever own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
Assists with the bi-annual as well as ad hoc stock counts/checks as per Warehouse Supervisor’s instruction.
Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times.
Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of products, assets and facility
REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (essential)
1 Year General Worker experience (preferential)
