Overview
Position exist within the Packing Department at Durban Rice Plant invite applicants to apply for this position. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Inspect pallets prior to stacking.
- Use the correct pallet size for packing and ensure pallets are covered with pallet sheet covers.
- Stack all products neatly according to pallet configuration.
- Ensure the correct number of packets are in the bales.
- Place the correct barcode labels for the relevant products.
- Inspect the products for any damages or quality issues.
- Check if the date code is correct.
- Ensure that housekeeping is always maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all GMP and all food safety rules.
- Report any food safety or quality non-conformances to your supervisor.
- Always comply with all safety rules.
- Report any near misses.
Qualifications
- Minimum: NQF 4 or Grade 12 or similar relevant qualification
- 12 months’ experience in a similar environment.
- Health and safety standards
