Sound Technician Jobs in Pretoria, Gauteng 0044 at Crew Life at Sea
Key Responsibilities:
– Set up and operate sound equipment for live performances and events On Board Cruise Ship
– Conduct sound checks and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal sound quality
– Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with sound equipment during performances
– Collaborate with performers and other crew members to ensure a seamless and successful show
– Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in sound technology
– Train and supervise other crew members in sound operation
– Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating sound equipment
– Assist with other technical aspects of performances and events as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
– High school diploma, Sound tech degree or equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sound Technician, preferably in a live performance setting
– Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a variety of sound equipment, including mixers, microphones, speakers, and amplifiers
– Strong knowledge of sound engineering principles and techniques
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
– Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
– Attention to detail and ability to multitask
– Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring is a plus
