Linkfields Innovations is recruiting Solutions Architects and Integration Specialists to support a multi-phase Telco transformation programme.
The role owns integration architecture across the legacy Amdocs estate and the incoming Telco platform. Integration has been identified as the primary delivery risk on the programme, and the role carries direct accountability for closing the gap between the target architecture and the surrounding system landscape.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design the integration target architecture across Mobile (prepaid, postpaid, SMB) and fixed line network
- Define integration strategies connecting the new BSS platform to surrounding systems, including the digital experience layer, order management, provisioning, mediation and finance
- Map the as is Amdocs integration landscape, including the Amdocs CRM and billing components being replaced
- Produce integration requirement specifications, interface definitions and technical design documentation
- Lead integration discovery workshops with the prime vendor’s technical team and the operator’s IT and business stakeholders
- Provide technical direction to development, migration and testing teams on integration implementation
- Support solution validation, system integration testing and defect triage on integration defects
- Contribute to cutover planning from an integration and dependency perspective
- Act as the technical translation point between business requirements and implementation teams
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Solution architecture: Minimum 8 years designing solutions for large scale enterprise system implementations, with at least 3 years in a lead architecture capacity
- BSS domain: Deep working knowledge of telecommunications BSS, including product catalogue, CRM, order management, charging, billing and revenue assurance across mobile (prepaid, postpaid) and fixed lines
- Integration architecture: Demonstrable experience designing complex system to system integration in a telecommunications environment
- Amdocs: Hands on exposure to the Amdocs product stack, including data model, integration patterns and interface behaviour
- Migration programmes: Prior architecture ownership on a system migration or replacement programme of comparable scale
- Qualification: Relevant IT or Engineering degree, or equivalent demonstrable experience
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Enterprise integration patterns, API led design, SOA and microservices architecture
- Middleware and integration platforms, message brokers and event driven architecture
- Data architecture, data mapping and reconciliation across migrating systems
- Architecture documentation, interface catalogues and target state modelling
- Ability to present and defend technical decisions to executive and technical audiences
- Comfortable operating in a multi-vendor environment with competing priorities and incomplete information
