We are looking for an Electrical Project Engineering Manager with Solar farm experience in Johannesburg.

This Senior Engineer role involves overseeing construction projects and tenders, managing a 1MW PV Solar Farm project in the D.R. Congo from conception to commissioning.
Responsibilities include:
Planning, executing, and managing projects within timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Collaborating with design engineers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to align with goals and regulations.
Conducting site visits, assessments, and technical evaluations for optimal solar farm construction solutions.
Participating in FAT on behalf of the client when required.
Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Training Junior Engineers involved in the project.
Tendering for various power projects.
Identifying opportunities in the power sector and supplying services to IPPs in South Africa.
Attending related site visits and meetings.
Planning, executing, and managing solar energy and power infrastructure projects from start to finish.
Conducting feasibility studies and providing technical expertise on systems and designoptimization.
Ensuring ongoing compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
Minimum National Diploma:
Electrical Engineering, Construction Management
10+ years’project managementexperience, preferably in electrical EPC
Knowledge in LV/MV/HV electrical engineering
Proficiency with MS Project and CAD for solar design
Excellentcommunicationandteamworkskills, proactiveproblem-solving
Fluent in English;
French is a plus
Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently and under pressure
Strong computer skills
