Job Description
A Renewable Energy company specialising in renewable project developments is looking to appoint a Solar Engineer ASAP!
Key Requirements:
BEng/BSc/BTech Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
Relevant work experience of 3
-5 years.
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of the South African REIPPP program.
Knowledge of procurement processes
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake technical aspects of project development
Co-ordinate site studies and local engineering aspects of project development
Develop grid connection solutions for projects
Establish provisional costings for engineering aspects of projects
Prepare technical documentation for tender submissions
Solar yield analysis
Grid connection
Plant design & engineering
EPC costing
Project schedules
Develop local procurement processes
Develop supplier database and establish supplier relationships
Develop standard enquiry/tender documentation
Confirm detailed Scope of Work / Bill of Quantities to be put out on enquiry
Co-ordinate actual enquiry events

Cape Town, Western Cape
Salary: R50 000 – R25 000 pm (depending on experience)
