This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join a global technology scale-up building a multi-tenant SaaS platform that connects the physical world to the cloud.
You’ll work on technology processing billions of real-world data measurements across critical infrastructure environments including water, rail, mining and industrial operations.
Based in Cape Town, this role is offering between R1.5M – R1.6M per annum.

You’ll join a product-led engineering environment where developers have genuine ownership and influence over the systems they build. The engineering challenges sit across multiple layers of the technology, from connected devices and data flows through to cloud services, APIs and the multi-tenant SaaS platform.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll design, build and operate scalable features and microservices for a multi-tenant SaaS platform processing billions of real-world data measurements.
Working primarily with C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core and Azure, you’ll build APIs and distributed, event-driven services while addressing scalability, reliability, security and performance.
You’ll own solutions end to end, from architecture through production, including troubleshooting, observability and resilience. You’ll also mentor engineers, lead technical discussions and influence architecture while remaining hands-on.
This is an opportunity to solve complex problems across multi-tenant SaaS, distributed systems, cloud and IoT.
THE REQUIREMENTS
7+ years’ professional software development experience
Strong C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs and SQL/NoSQL experience
Experience with modular monoliths, microservices and distributed, event-driven systems
Strong Azure, Docker, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally Bicep
Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS/PaaS, scalability, high availability and cloud architecture
Familiarity with DDD, event sourcing, idempotency, retries and eventual consistency
Proven ownership of systems from architecture through production
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning and production support experience
Experience leading technical initiatives, influencing architecture and mentoring developers
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience using AI-assisted development tools
