Are you an experienced Social Worker with strong leadership skills and a passion for substance-use prevention, treatment and recovery?
SANCA Goldfields is seeking a professional, motivated and hands-on Director to manage and lead our outpatient substance-use treatment centre in Welkom.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who can:
- Lead, motivate and manage a team effectively
- Work independently while also being a strong team player
- Manage the daily operations of an outpatient treatment centre
- Communicate confidently with clients, families, staff and stakeholders
- Demonstrate sound organisational and management skills
- Have a basic understanding of finances, budgeting and administration
- Build and maintain professional community and referral relationships
- Be professional, accountable, compassionate and solution-focused
- Have a genuine interest in substance-use treatment, recovery and community work
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Social Work
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
- Current SACSSP registration
- South African citizen
- Clean criminal record
- Own reliable transport
- Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Basic financial and administrative knowledge
Advantageous: Experience or a background in substance-use prevention and treatment, preferably within an outpatient or community-based setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will oversee:
- Overall management and leadership of the centre
- Staff supervision, development and performance
- Professional delivery of substance-use prevention, treatment and aftercare services
- Administration, reporting and record keeping
- Basic financial management and resource utilisation
- Community engagement and development of referral partnerships
- Compliance with professional, organisational and statutory requirements
