Role Purpose
Responsible for management of social media executions that align with the brand’s digital strategy. The role involves content creation, community engagement, and tracking to drive brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement. The ideal candidate is digitally savvy, proficient in the leading platforms and online management software, culturally attuned, and able to create compelling, platform-specific content that resonates with target audiences.
Requirements
Matric/Grade 12
Diploma/Degree in Communications
3 – 5 years’ experience in Communications or Social Media management (agency or client side), accomplished written and content creation
Portfolio or examples of past work showcasing social media expertise
Duties & Responsibilities
Internal Processes
Implement approved social media communications.
Develop, schedule, and publish high-quality content across various social media platforms to drive awareness of the brand and engagement with the relevant audience.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of social media efforts.
Adaptive content creation for different platforms while maintaining brand tone and messaging consistency.
Track, analyse and measure results of all social media activities for return on investment purposes.
Coordinate and administer editorial calendars.
Keep abreast with trends on social media, platform updates and tactical content opportunities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to deliver within budget, SLA and agreed timelines.
Client
Serve as subject matter expert in supporting the rollout of social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
Use analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Meltwater, etc.) to measure content effectiveness.
Track competitor activity and industry benchmarks to inform content strategy.
Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that expectations are managed.
Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
