Job Summary: The Retentions SME Account Manager identifies and addresses the communication needs of Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) customers, presenting tailored solutions through MTN’s product offerings. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding client requirements and offering high-value solutions that meet or exceed their electronic communication needs. The Account Manager is responsible for nurturing customer relationships post-sale, ensuring client satisfaction, and retaining their business through excellent service and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Needs Analysis: Identify and understand the specific needs of business clients, guiding them to solutions that provide maximum value and meet or exceed expectations.

Sales and Retention Goals: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and retention targets by effectively managing a dedicated sales territory.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and service after the initial sale to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Sales and Marketing Activities: Actively market MTN products and services through strategic sales calls, meetings, and regular follow-ups with potential and existing clients.

Client Education and Product Demonstration: Offer in-depth product knowledge, demonstrating features and benefits of MTN products to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.

Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough records of all interactions and transactions with customers, tracking communication regardless of the sale outcome.

Account Development: Consistently seek to expand and strengthen the existing account base through innovative sales techniques, personalized service, and attention to customer needs.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with product developments, market trends, and new sales strategies to ensure clients receive the most relevant and effective solutions.

Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights to the SME Manager on sales activities, customer feedback, and retention strategies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in account management, customer service, or sales, particularly within the telecommunications industry.

Strong understanding of SME needs in electronic communication and ability to present complex solutions clearly and effectively.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain organization across multiple accounts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R8 000,00 – R10 000,00 per month
