Our client in Bloemfontein is looking for Slicer Operator to accurately and safely slice food products (e.g., meats, cheeses, bread, or other goods) according to company standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and hygiene. They also looking for Van Assistants and Packers
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food production, packing, or warehousing environment.
- Experience operating slicing machines or similar equipment preferred.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Ability to work accurately and follow instructions.
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for long periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
- Basic knowledge of packaging, labelling, and stock handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
For Van Assistants
- Ability to assist with loading and offloading.
For Packers
- Previous packing or factory experience will be an advantage.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to follow hygiene and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate slicing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Slice products to specified thickness, weight, or portion size
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Inspect products for quality before and after slicing
- Package and label sliced products correctly
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials
