Job Objective :

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive product sales through expert skin analysis. You will evaluate clients’ skin types and conditions to recommend tailored skincare products and treatments. Your primary focus is to effectively present these recommendations to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and make purchases to achieve sales targets and influence sales, brand awareness and market share positively.

Job Description :

Ensure prepared, structured, and professional deliverance and facilitation of all skin analysis and consultation days in trade and/or online with the outcome of increased sales.

Be responsible for delivering gross and net targeted sales linked back to an average targeted turnover per month.

Ensure accurate forecasting on sales out per month by achieving a targeted amount of skin consultation days per month.

Actively participate in field days in trade providing professional advice and upselling products in line with targeted skin consultation days in order to gain market share and grow customer base.

Use creativity and linear thinking to improve product knowledge delivery, communication and administration relating to customer data.

Collaborate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Research and Development, etc.) to elevate the level of product knowledge and skincare expertise within Amka Skin, sharing market and in trade trends, where relevant.

Be accountable for assisting Research and Development with trials, sharing before and after photos and customer skin consultation cards, with significant stakeholders.

Drive all applicable NPD, re-launches, and promotional activity in line with brand growth priorities, ensuring appropriate brand exposure.

Empower local partners (educators, distributors, key customers, retail entities, professionals, consumers, etc) with product knowledge, skin analysis processes, and consultation advice.

Compile and review various reports, analysis, and feedback documents to monitor progress, risks, and opportunities to implement improvements where necessary in order to achieve required objectives.

Develop and implement the annual consultation day customer account plan together with the Head of Education by liaising with local partners (educators, distributors, key customers, retail entities, professionals, internal sales force, etc).

Provide technical product knowledge and support with regards to all queries relating to product assistance, treatment complaints and skin analysis.

Qualification and Skills :

Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical, pharmaceutical & skincare, is required.

Knowledge of the South African Complementary Skincare, Allopathic and Health Supplements regulations is recommended.

Strong presentation skills with an ability to facilitate both live and virtual consultations.

Must be able to work with multiple cross functional teams with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Strong interpersonal skills along with an ability to influence both within and outside the organization.

Must be able and willing to travel and spend time away from home.

Strong sales skills to effectively recommend and sell products based on clients’ needs.

Product Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of skincare products and their ingredients, including their benefits and potential side effects.
