About the Role
A leading engineering and environmental services company is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of an industrial wastewater treatment plant. The successful candidate will supervise operations staff, optimise plant performance, ensure contractual compliance, and maintain high operational and safety standards.
This position is ideal for someone with strong industrial wastewater treatment experience who enjoys leading operational teams while remaining technically involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation of an industrial wastewater treatment facility.
- Manage both primary and secondary treatment processes.
- Monitor plant performance and ensure contractual KPIs are achieved.
- Optimise treatment processes and equipment performance.
- Supervise operations and maintenance personnel.
- Perform process adjustments in accordance with operating procedures.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
- Compile operational reports and performance statistics.
- Manage staff rosters, overtime and attendance.
- Ensure housekeeping and site standards are maintained.
- Assist with preventative maintenance planning.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Water Treatment or similar qualification.
- Chemical Engineering qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' industrial water or wastewater treatment experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with industrial treatment technologies such as:
- Clarifiers
- DAF Systems
- Biological Treatment
- Membrane Bioreactors (MBR)
- Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- Membrane Filtration
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Good leadership and people management ability.
- Strong reporting and record-keeping skills.
