Position: Site Reliability Engineer Semi-Remote – Contract – R600 Per hour
A role for a Site Reliability Engineer has been made available for a candidate that has Java development experience of at least 1 year. (OCA preferable OCP more so).
You will coordinate with internal and external team members including QA and BA and knowledge sharing and compiling of operational manuals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements :
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
Java development experience of at least 1 year. (OCA preferable OCP more so)
At least 6 months AWS experience
Java 11 with Object-Oriented skills
Spring Boot
Kubernetes and Docker
Git / Git Hub
Infrastructure as Code:
Terraform & Terragrunt
CI / CD pipeline setup Git Hub Actions Git Ops preferable
Networking in an AWS context: subnets, firewalls, routing, DNS (reverse) proxies
Microprofile or Quarkus preferable
RESTful endpoints design and implementation
WSL / Unix
Gradle
A strong team player that has a high level of ownership and responsibility
Attention to detail, strong problem solver taking pride in delivering quality work
Ability to work interdependently (self-starter) as well and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality
Reference Number for this position is GZ60264 which is a contract position based in Midrand / Centurion / Semi-Remote offering a contract rate of R600 per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
