Brief Description /
Purpose
of the function:
Responsible for managing business performance of the Amusement Park through control of staff and equipment, ensuring budgeted targets are achieved and operating standards are adhered to. To engage with the park management to maximize business opportunities.
Key areas of responsibility:
To oversee the team in the park and ensure that the park is run efficiently delivering maximum profitability.
Engage with park management, in consultation with the BDD, to ensure any potential areas for business development are actively pursued.
Preparing, reviewing and reporting on budgets and expenditure.
Negotiating contracts and deals in liaison with the BDD.
Ensure all sites comply with all statutory requirements (e.g., health and safety/employment law).
Oversee staffing and pay issues in line with company processes and submit accurate reporting to Payroll.
Supporting the identification and selection of staff for the Trainee Manager programme.
Ensure company guidelines are met in line with performance management of the team.
Undertake audits of the site ensuring that it complies with all internal processes in relation to Finance, Purchasing, HR/Staffing matters and ensure training is put in place where required.
Liaise with Central Support to ensure that administrative issues do not hamper operational performance.
Provide monthly reports for your site as required.
Assist with disciplinary investigations/hearings as needed.
Liaise with park management in relation to any complaints or issues to resolve them in a speedy manner and escalate as necessary.
To attend regular meetings with the BDD to discuss and review park performance.
To put action plans in place for improvement if required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Educated at a minimum to GCSE level or local country equivalent.
HNC/HND in business related subject or local country equivalent.
Experience
Significant experience of managing a tourist attraction.
Experience of working in a multi-site environment.
Experience of working at an amusement park or arcade.
Knowledge & Skills
Business acumen.
Knowledge of basic financial reporting.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Ability to multi-task.
Experience of preparing, reviewing and reporting on budgets and expenditure.

Self-directed with a high degree of self-motivation.
High attention to detail.
