About
Thuso Hub is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multi-sector client operating in mining, engineering, security, and logistics. We are looking for an experienced and driven Site Operations Lead to oversee the full on-the-ground execution of drone operations across active project sites.
This is a senior operational role that sits at the intersection of technical competence, team leadership, and client delivery. If you thrive in demanding site environments, lead with accountability, and understand what it takes to run complex drone deployments, we want to hear from you.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) with BVLOS Rating
Valid Aviation Medical Certificate
AVSEC Certification
PSIRA Registered
3 years RPAS flight experience
2 years in a similar operational leadership role
Demonstrated stakeholder and client liaison capability
Proven experience in onsite drone operations and pilot oversight
Criminal background check not older than 30 days (required at appointment)
Valid driver's licence (site travel required)
ADVANTAGEOUS
NKP Certification (Advantageous)
Firearm Competency Certificate (Advantageous)
Mine Health and Safety qualification (Advantageous)
SACAA compliance exposure in a high-risk environment (Advantageous)

Technical competence in drone systems, asset tracking, and equipment maintenance
