Role Description The Short Term Brokers (Personal Lines + Commercial Lines) x6 roles – Financial Services role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. In this role, the broker will service and manage short-term insurance portfolios for both personal and commercial clients, including handling quotations, renewals, amendments, and policy administration. Daily responsibilities include advising clients on appropriate cover, conducting needs analyses, preparing proposals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The broker will process claims, follow up on outstanding documentation, maintain accurate records, and provide ongoing client support and relationship management. Collaboration with underwriters, insurers, and internal stakeholders to secure competitive terms and resolve client queries is an integral part of this position.
Qualifications
- Short-term insurance experience in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines, with strong client advisory and portfolio management skills.
- Proficiency in policy administration, claims handling, documentation management, and compliance with relevant financial and insurance regulations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills for effective client service and stakeholder interaction.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, including conducting needs analyses and evaluating risk and cover options.
- Relevant short-term insurance qualifications (e.g., FAIS-compliant, recognized industry certifications) and familiarity with insurance systems and tools.
- Ability to work on-site in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Beneficial experience in financial services brokerage environments and a proven track record of meeting performance and service targets.
