Key requirement
Strong background in sheet metal fabrication
Willing to relocate
Proven experience fabricating sheet metal components, preferably in a steel shed or construction industry
Technical skills-familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment, such as guillotine shears, press brakes and welding equipment
Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in fabricated components
Physical ability, ability to lift, bend and move heavy materials and equipment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues
Key responsibility
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components, use various tools and equipment to cut, bend and shape sheet metal into required components
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Understand project requirements and ensure fabricated components meet specifications
Ensure quality and accuracy-inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and make adjustments as necessary
Maintain a safe working environment
Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
Collaborate with team members
Work effectively with other fabricators, assemblers and production staff to meet project deadlines
