The Industrial Service division offers maintenance and service solutions for all crane brands, port equipment, and machine tools. This includes repair, maintenance, inspection, refurbishment, modernization, installation, testing, and certification of overhead cranes and hoists. We are the original service provider for both Konecranes and Demag equipment.

Currently, we are hiring a Service Technician for our Gqeberha location on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves executing inspections, repairs, modernizations, and installations on cranes and related equipment, excluding those requiring certified compliance inspection.

Key responsibilities include:

Fault finding to assess cranes thoroughly, isolating problems, and recommending actions to minimize downtime.

Performing inspections, breakdown repairs, and maintenance promptly and according to service contracts.

Accurately identifying faults and problems during inspections.

Recommending maintenance and modifications to improve crane performance.

Preparing detailed inspection reports, ensuring customer signatures.

Maintaining a safe work environment following safety procedures.

Gathering customer feedback on product design, operation, maintenance, warranty, and safety.

Adhering to safety procedures on all premises.

Maintaining safety documentation as per regulations and customer requirements.

Administering documentation accurately and promptly.

Communicating equipment issues and potential improvements to relevant personnel.

Guiding assistant technicians when necessary.

Qualifications include:

Millwright/Electrical Trade qualification

Registered LMI (advantageous)

Valid driver’s license

Skills & Knowledge:

3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment

Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics

Proficiency with hand and trade tools

Experience with overhead cranes, inverter drives, and PLCs

Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and at heights

Willingness to travel locally and internationally

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Note: Must be able to work overtime, including weekends. Residency in or around Gqeberha is preferred, or willingness to relocate.
