SERVICE COORDINATOR / PARTS HANDLER
Reports to: Service Manager
Coordinates with: Service, Production, Sales, Purchasing, Parts, Transportation, Retailers, Contractors, and Customers
JOB OVERVIEW
The Service Coordinator / Parts Handler supports warranty service by coordinating service requests, communicating with retailers, customers, and contractors, processing service documentation, and ensuring the correct parts are gathered, staged, shipped, and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
The position requires strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills; the ability to read and understand manufactured housing specifications and blueprints; attention to detail; and a working knowledge of manufactured home construction.
Must have a can-do attitude, be team-oriented, self-motivated, customer-focused, and maintain high ethical standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive, process, schedule, and track service and parts requests.
· Communicate with retailers, customers, contractors, and internal departments regarding service status and completion.
· Coordinate service technicians and contractors, including paperwork, time sheets, travel expenses, and service request closures.
· Gather, verify, organize, and stage parts for service requests and contractor pickups.
· Ensure parts are correctly identified, packaged, secured, and shipped by UPS, common carrier, or other approved methods.
· Coordinate with Transportation to load parts into homes when appropriate and document the location of materials.
· Assist contractors with parts pickup and obtain appropriate documentation for materials received.
· Process warranty registrations, cash settlements, dealer payments, vendor claims, and related service documentation.
· Review incoming invoices and investigate discrepancies or incorrect materials.
· Maintain accurate files, records, and service documentation.
· Report significant quality, process, or service issues to the Service Manager and recommend solutions.
· Maintain effective communication between Production, Quality Control, Service, retailers, contractors, and customers.
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and rules of conduct.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
