Job Summary
We’re seeking a results-driven SEO Analyst to fuel organic growth through data-led strategies, keyword optimisation, and performance analysis. This role blends technical SEO know-how with sharp analytical skills and a focus on measurable outcomes such as traffic, rankings, and conversions.
You’ll be working with a remote team supporting clients primarily in the UK and US, playing a key part in shaping SEO strategies across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
Keyword Research & Strategy
Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner.
Identify high-potential, low-competition keywords with strong search volume.
Analyse competitor keyword strategies and identify gaps and ranking opportunities.
Content Optimisation
Optimise on-page elements (meta tags, headers, internal linking) for SEO best practices.
Audit existing content to address thin pages, missing alt text, or outdated info.
Collaborate with content creators to ensure alignment with user intent and E-E-A-T guidelines.
Technical SEO & Analytics
Monitor crawl errors, site speed, mobile usability, and indexation via Search Console, Screaming Frog, and PageSpeed Insights.
Track and report on traffic, CTR, keyword positions, and conversions using Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
Produce regular reports with actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
Competitive Analysis
Research competitor backlink profiles, content strategies, and domain authority.
Identify link-building and content opportunities through strategic analysis.
Suggest and support A/B testing on meta content or landing pages to optimise conversions.
Performance Forecasting
Use trend tools to forecast keyword opportunities and plan future strategies.
Set clear KPIs (e.g., “Increase non-branded organic traffic by 20% in Q3”) and monitor progress.
Who You Are
2+ years in a similar SEO role (agency experience is a plus).
Proficient with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
Confident interpreting data to guide decisions and improve site performance.
Strong written communication and reporting skills.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple client projects.
Must be based in South Africa and able to work UK business hours.
