We have an opening for an important role as a Senior Travel Consultant. This is an incredible job, where you are responsible for planning and executing African travel experiences for clients from all over the world. You will have an award-winning team of tour guides and an office team with many decades of knowledge and experience in Southern African travel as your support.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with clients to craft the perfect travel plan for them
- Customize quotes, accept payments, make travel arrangements, and ensure client travels run smoothly
- Build strong relationships with global agents and guests
- Lead, mentor, and support junior consultants
- Contribute to product development and brand growth
Requirements
- Proven track record in travel consulting (essential)
- Strong quoting and customization skills
- Proficiency with Excel/worksheets, accounting software, and itinerary building software
- Confidence in engaging via phone, WhatsApp and email with high-end, international clients
- Positive, optimistic, and passionate about South Africa
- Well-travelled with deep knowledge of Southern Africa, and able to use your travel experiences to advise clients on their itineraries
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be super organized when handling multiple clients simultaneously
- Be able to work independently, while still maintaining team collaboration
