About the Role
A prominent organisation in the financial services sector is seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Technology Leader to drive innovation and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and cloud-ready technology platforms across multiple business units—Wealth, Insurance, Asset Management, and Distribution.
This role reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and requires strong collaboration with stakeholders, strategic foresight, and hands-on leadership in delivering integrated and future-fit tech solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Technology Leadership
Define and evolve group-wide platforms in applications, data, technology, and security.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, modern, and cloud-ready.
Drive alignment across systems, data, and integrations for multiple business units.
Contribute to information security strategy and embed secure-by-design principles.
Maintain technology platform roadmaps, upgrades, vendor relationships, and lifecycle plans.
Operations & Governance
Own operational leadership of shared IT platforms (identity, integration, content, cloud).
Manage SLAs, support models, licensing, and platform compliance.
Handle audits, risk, and regulatory adherence.
Partner with InfoSec and manage platform readiness for audit and compliance.
Coordinate platform-related incident resolution, patching, and service availability.
People & Financial Leadership
Lead and grow high-performing technical teams through mentoring and performance management.
Manage capacity, demand, and talent development.
Oversee budgets and financials effectively.
Manage outsourced service providers and vendors.
Support DevOps and CI/CD tooling adoption across teams.
Key Activities
Build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Lead with a hands-on approach to technology and platform innovation.
Deliver projects on time, managing scope and schedules effectively.
Ensure cross-team collaboration and visibility of technical risks and platform dependencies.
Minimum Requirements
University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
8+ years of experience in leading technology teams, platforms, and strategic IT initiatives
Deep technical knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems and cloud architecture
Proven ability to manage complex IT environments, budgets, and cross-functional teams
