Senior QA Tester Jobs in Johannesburg at Sage
Job Description The Quality Assurance Testing team at Sage plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our software applications and systems meet quality standards before being released to users. We are looking for a Senior QA Tester to join the team, who will, in turn, play a key role by conducting thorough and efficient testing to deliver the highest quality standards.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for creating accurate test plans and executing them, ensuring that all issues are raised and managed to completion. You will also take the lead on projects in collaboration with other teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project.
This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site at our Johannesburg office.
Key Responsibilities , –
Plan, schedule and deliver quality manual and automated testing to the highest standard
Adhering to test procedures
Provide complete comprehensive test documentation to support knowledge sharing
Define appropriate test coverage to mitigate the identified risks.
Contribute to front end and back-end automation tests, debug and investigate failures for resolution.
Lead assigned project tasks and activities.

Your first 90 days at Sage will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the business while becoming familiar with our products, internal processes, and testing procedures. You will collaborate with your manager and team to successfully complete the Sage onboarding program. Staying focused and self-motivated will be key to your success. Additionally, taking initiative and being open to giving and receiving feedback and guidance will be essential.

University Degree or relevant professional qualification from a reputable institution
5+ years professional testing experience
ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing (or equivalent)
Experience working in an agile environment
Ability to translate requirements into test scenarios
Exposure to software development lifecycles and testing methodologies
Automation Testing Experience
Payroll background will be an advantage
