Role Description
This is a contract Senior Project Manager role located in the City of Cape Town. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for expediting projects, managing inspections, and overseeing logistics management on-site.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Project.
Lead and manage the project team, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and other staff.
Develop and manage the project budget, schedule, and resources.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including aviation security and safety standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee the procurement of subcontractors and materials, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
Conduct regular progress meetings and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies specific to an airport environment.
Ensure high-quality construction and adherence to design specifications.
Manage the handover of the project and ensure all relevant documentation is provided to the client.
Navigate the complexities of working within an operational airport environment, minimizing disruption.
Qualifications:
Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in aviation or transportation.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and airport-specific regulations.
Experience with budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
