Position: Senior Process Engineer (12 month contract)
Our client, a leader in the South African banking and investment space, seeks an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their ranks.
Duties:
Support the business units in the analysis, improvement, and redesign of core and support business processes from current state assessments to post-implementation support to deliver an improvement in efficiency, high levels of standardization, and straight-through processing with defined exception management.
Improve the Business Process by designing and implementing the solution through:
Finding new ways to improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the organisation.
Evaluating the implications of research findings.
Evaluating alternative methods.
Making a logical evaluation of new ideas and designs.
Designing logical flow-charts or diagrams.
Designing appropriate metrics and feedback mechanisms and appropriate implementation and sustaining plans and mechanisms.
Conducting BCA risk assessments.
Conducting Rapid Improvement Events.
This role also requires you to perform such tasks as:
Project Management.
Data Mining.
Statistical Analysis.
Process Mapping.
Lean Process Engineering.
Production Planning.
Quality Assurance.
Performance Management.
Business Improvement.
Financial Management.
Lean Manufacturing.
Budget Management.
Quality Control.
Process Audits.
Requirements:
Minimum BCom Information Systems/Statistics/Mathematics, BEng Chem/Mech/Ind. or BSc Information Systems.
At least 10 years working experience at a Process Practitioner level.
Experience working in financial services/payments/working capital.
Lean Six Sigma Certification – a Black Belt would be advantageous.
A SAFe certification would be ideal.
