Role Responsibilities

  • Generate, review and maintain integrated schedules and schedule logic.
  • Monitoring of planned versus actual progress (with progress based on physical quantities).
  • Developing look-ahead schedules and critical path views for specific plant areas.
  • Estimate activity durations and production rates.
  • Develop supporting Basis of Schedule documents.
  • Follow best practices, implement and improve planning procedures.
  • Effective interfacing with Engineering Manager, Project team, Client and Contractors to ensure accurate development and tracking of schedules and the integrated master schedule.
  • Attend regular meetings with stakeholders/ contractors to ensure that interface issues are resolved and that the schedules are optimised.
  • Facilitate planning meetings as necessary.
  • Track changes in work scope.

Claims

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and logic.
  • Produce look-aheads, critical path views, and clear schedule narratives.
  • Measure planned vs actual progress using physical quantities.

Forensic analysis (schedule and progress)

  • Support schedule forensics to identify delay drivers, quantify impacts, and define practical recovery actions.
  • Check baseline quality (logic, constraints, calendars, critical path).
  • Validate progress using site records and physical quantities.
  • Track variance and critical path changes between updates.
  • Summarise time impacts and propose recovery scenarios.

Minimum Requirements

  • Recognised qualification (desirable) – Engineering or Construction Related.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Project Scheduling and Planning functions, with process plant experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of project management principles, with knowledge of planning principles.
  • Proficiency in planning software packages, including Microsoft Project and Primavera.
  • Knowledge of related project controls functions including estimating, cost control, change control and reporting principles.
  • Knowledge of document control function and Electronic Document Management Systems.
