Senior Mechatronics Engineer
A large consulting company with offices across South Africa is looking for a Senior Mechatronics Engineer specializing in water and wastewater treatment to join their Cape Town team.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum B Eng / BSc Eng in Mechatronics Engineering.
Professionally registered.
Minimum of eight years’ applicable experience in water and wastewater treatment.
High level of proficiency in MS Office, MS Project.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling, and technical risk during project lifecycle.
Experience in professional services tendering and agreements.
Understanding of statutory approval processes.
Lead and manage a design team, including mentoring of junior staff members.
Undertake water, wastewater, and treatment feasibility and master planning studies, including report compilation.
Plan and/or conceptual design, detailed design, specification, procurement process administration, and contract administration of water, wastewater, and treatment projects.
Carry out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project schedules, quantities, and valuations at all stages of a project.
Compile construction contract documentation and oversee procurement processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Integrate and cooperate with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
