Our client has vacancies for Senior Materials Technicians within its Roads, Highway and Pavement Engineering Division.
Position Info & Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in road construction materials laboratory testing.
Experience on national roads projects would be an advantage.
Previous experience as a senior materials technician or laboratory manager would be beneficial.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for acceptance control of construction materials used on site.
Supervision of the client’s acceptance control road materials laboratory on site.
Ensure the site laboratory performs according to the testing timetable.
Inspect and perform quality control of the contractor’s works.
Review test results and manage the acceptance control process.
Arrange duplicate testing of materials.
Review and provide feedback on mix designs.
Report directly to the Resident Engineer.
Assist the Resident Engineer with administrative duties.
Prepare and submit monthly materials and laboratory reports to the Resident Engineer.
Prepare earthworks and layer works progress sheets.
Prepare and update materials testing data packs for as-built purposes in accordance with the client’s requirements.
