Fed Ex South Africa is looking for a Senior Manager Operations to lead our dynamic teams across South Africa, Botswana, and Eswatini. This is an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact within a global leader in logistics and express delivery.

What You Will Do:

As the Senior Manager Operations based in Johannesburg, you’ll be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of our facilities in Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, and Bloemfontein, as well as our operations in Botswana and Eswatini. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing team
    , including managers, to achieve departmental and operational goals.
  • Ensuring timely and consistent completion of processes and procedures across all assigned departments and locations.
  • Driving operational efficiency and service excellence in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing data analytics and process improvement methodologies to identify areas for optimization and implement effective solutions.
  • Fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement

    • What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of senior management experience
    , demonstrating exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • A tertiary qualification is essential.
  • Similar experience in the logistics or express industry is highly desirable
    , showcasing your understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in our sector.
  • An in-depth understanding of operations
    , with a strong focus on data analytics and process improvement
    , is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time to various operational sites within your region.
