This role is responsible for implementing sales strategies, fostering client relationships, and identifying new opportunities across all our capabilities.
The focus is on assisting the Commercial Lead to expand current business clients and renew contracts.
A key objective is to drive revenue and expand our market footprint through strategic sales and business development initiatives.
Job Context
The role is crucial for expanding the organization’s market presence and client base. It supports the Commercial Lead in achieving strategies for Road Freight, focusing on the Operating Company.
The position offers expertise, advice, and support related to the sales process.
Key Performance Areas
Develop BU Sales and BD strategy
Execute strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitive intelligence
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery of products/services
Facilitate solution-selling within the Operating Company and drive CRM/system implementations
Manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and optimize profitability
Maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services and communicate value propositions
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to foster customer service excellence
Contribute to operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
Act as an ambassador for DP World, promoting positive behaviors aligned with company principles and values
Ensure safety and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience and Skills Required
5-8+ years in commercial roles with a successful track record in sales and business development.
Proficient in financial management, logistics, supply chain, modeling, costing, and budgeting.
