Position: Senior Journey Specialist – Owned Brands
PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
The Journey Specialist is responsible for managing and completing the booking confirmation process on the Wilderness Window platform.
Communicate and deliver exceptional service to all stakeholders involved.
This position is based in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Detailed Responsibilities
Manage and complete the booking confirmation process on Wilderness Window platform.
Maintain continuous communication and provide excellent service to the Operations specialist at all times.
Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders through effective communication, understanding their business trends and guest needs, and attending relevant familiarization trips with the Operations specialist as required.
Maintain in-depth supplier knowledge to maximize mutually beneficial relationships with AP partners.
Ensure accuracy and financial health of bookings.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Matric certificate with Maths (minimum standard grade or above). Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality is advantageous.
Experience: 4-5 years with senior experience in handling customer relationships, developing and promoting products, and building journeys in the inbound travel industry. In-depth knowledge of Southern and East Africa. Working knowledge of Tour Plan and WETU or similar booking/operating systems.
Skills:Dynamic, detail-oriented, organized, and excellent communication skills. Able to remain steady in a busy environment, consistent in output, and task-driven. Ability to problem-solve without compromising accuracy and to prioritize effectively. Strong financial skills, high integrity, and ethical conduct. Driven to offer high-quality service, with strong time management skills.
