Job title: Senior Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Northern-Cape, on a mining site.
Salary: R50-55k/month, dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
- Select and specify instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level, analyzers).
- Supervise installation, calibration, and commissioning activities.
- Develop control philosophies and loop diagrams.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage contractors and technical teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Support automation and digitalization initiatives.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering – beneficial
- 10–15 years’ relevant industry experience
- Experience on African industrial or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISA, IEEE)
- Strong leadership and project coordination ability
- Willingness to work on project sites
