A well‑established HR consultancy based in Pretoria is looking for an experienced Senior HR Consultant to join their team. This is an in‑office position and requires occasional travel.

Employment Equity Services & Consultancy

  • Assist clients with EE Analysis and Drafting of EE Plans.
  • Compiling statistical data for online EE reporting purposes.
  • EEA Reporting preparation for approval by client.
  • Assist clients with Career Planning, Succession Planning and Transformation requirements.
  • Identify skills gaps and provide solutions to clients.

Learning Related Services & Consultancy

  • Consulting clients on WSP & ATR compliance processes.
  • Perform Training needs Analysis and Skills audits.
  • Assist clients with Career Planning, Succession Planning and Transformation requirements.
  • Identify skills gaps and provide solutions to clients.
  • Co‑ordinate meetings of various committees.
  • Administrative support and updating of records on the HR Server.

Labour Law (incl IR) Related Services & Consultancy

  • Development and Review of HR related policies to govern good behaviour and compliance.
  • Support legal practitioners in Labour court cases.

HR Systems and Related Consultancy Services

  • Participate and support finding a feasible HR system.
  • Evaluate HR system technology and functionality.
  • Negotiate and finalise a typical partnership agreement.
  • Evaluate and investigate the use of AI applications in HR service delivery.
  • Develop consultancy services structured around the HR system and AI apps.

Reporting and Audit Readiness

  • Generation of reports for the purpose of internal, external and client compliance reporting.
  • Quality management of all HR related systems.

Deliver Customer Service (10%)

  • Project Management / Deadline Driven
    • Partnering with the client to understand challenges and demands.
    • Careful planning, setting clear objectives and time frames, and effectively prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Work closely with the HR team to offer required support and assistance in meeting deadlines and advising on delays or obstacles.
  • Proactive
    • Planning ahead to pre‑empt delays and obstacles.
    • Providing insight into projected/suggested deadlines for frameworks at the planning phase to ensure the Portfolio Manager and Principal Consultant integrate deadlines into the overall project plan.
  • Constantly communicate own progress to the CEO.
  • Offer input and advice on areas of expertise as and when required.
  • Take a mature, professional approach to conflict that may arise with clients or colleagues.

Governance and Rule Following (8%)

  • Advise and assist clients on relevant legislation and frameworks:
    • Plan, schedule and forecast own workload with reference to peak times.
    • Accurately interpret and apply various legislative and framework requirements to clients’ specific circumstances.

    • Effectively build relationships with clients and staff.
    • Quickly establish rapport with others, comfortable working at all levels.
    • Value teamwork and positively contribute to overall team goals and objectives.
    • Employ excellent negotiation skills when interacting with service providers and clients.
