About the role
Sedna is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our fledgling engineering team in Cape Town. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the full application and infrastructure that support our business critical suite of services. You will play a key role in integrating new technologies and improving our existing systems to ensure that Sedna remains at the cutting edge of global trade solutions. As a Senior, you will be expected to lead solution design and provide guidance to the wider engineering team on best practice.
Your responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable, robust, and high-performing systems that support global trade operations.
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.
The role requires solid and demonstrable experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Database Design and RESTful API Design.
Provide guidance to the wider engineering team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Participate in the design and development process, offering creative solutions and feedback to improve web functionality and user experience.
Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance across mobile and desktop devices.
Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages, continuously learning and applying new technologies to enhance our platform.
