Your North Star
The Financial Controller’s primary objective is to oversee and manage the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting operations. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial processes.
Day in the Life of a Financial Controller
Banking & Cash Flow Management:
Manage daily banking activities, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and receipts.
Journal Entries & General Ledger Oversight:
Prepare and review journal entries to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger in accordance with accounting standards.
Financial Review & Reporting:
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reviews, ensuring financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Reconciliations:
Perform and oversee reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany balances, supplier accounts, and other key ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
Day-to-Day Accounting Operations:
Supervise routine accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Key skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years in accounting/finance
Deep understanding of revenue recognition
Experience doing Recons and Financial Review
Strong working knowledge of billing platforms
Beneficial skills:
