Senior Financial Accountant (Future Financial Manager) | Pretoria East

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, high-impact technology business based in Pretoria East, an environment where things move quickly, decisions matter, and finance is a key driver of the business, not just a back-office function.
This is not your typical “keep the books ticking” role. This is for someone who owns the full financial function and is ready to step into a Financial Manager position in the near future.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take full ownership of the finance function, including:
- Managing Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Full month-end and year-end processes
- Handling VAT, PAYE, tax, and SARS compliance
- Driving financial controls and reporting
- Managing cash flow and operational finance
- Working closely with leadership to support business decisions
- Identifying areas for process improvement and automation
What We Need From You
We’re not looking for a CA(SA). We’re looking for someone who has done the work.
- BCom Accounting / Honours or similar qualification
- Proven track record of running the full financial function independently
- Strong working knowledge of SARS, tax, VAT, PAYE, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with:
- Xero
- Cin7
- Accounting automation tools
- Strong business acumen, someone who understands how finance impacts growth
- A proactive mindset: you see what needs to be done and you get it done
- Confident communicator, able to engage across the business
- Independent, accountable, and solutions-driven
- Commercially aware, you think beyond the numbers
- Ambitious and ready to step up into a Financial Manager role
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Location & Setup
- Based in Pretoria East (100% office-based)
- Ideal for candidates in Centurion, Midrand, or Pretoria East
- Open to candidates willing to commute
